For lovers of art and culture
Folk architecture has left behind a series of unique structures in the form of smithies, fountains and oil presses, which co-exist with such artistic monuments as the church of San Martín in Val de Onsera and the castle/collegiate church of Alquezar (listed as an artistic and historic monument in 1982), Barbastro and its cathedral, and the Torreciudad shrine (important place of pilgrimage).
The 12th-century Romanesque church of San Fructuoso in Bierge has religious frescoes dating from the 13th century marking the transition from Romanesque to Gothic styles (this artistic monument can be visited). The deserted village of Nasarre is home to another Romanesque monument, the church of San Andrés.
